We're going to do our best to stick with you no matter what you need, and at least until I find what I'm looking for. You've kind of always been easy to care about, so...I can't say I'm that surprised.

We're both very different people now than we were back then.

Yeah. In a good way, but...I don't know. Do you ever wonder how things would be different if we met when we were already these people instead of those ones?

We would have. [He can't deny that, but he's biased.] Things weren't super great for me back home either, but...if they were. If I knew then what I know now, maybe that whole thing wouldn't have been such a pain.
