Is it so bad to surprise you like that? [They're still holding hands wtf does she expect.] I could give you a warning next time but that kinda seems pretty lame.
I can if you really want me to. But I can't promise it'll sound that good. [He swings their hands gently and pulls her along to Innovations. He's excited for nerd shit, but he's also excited that he's with Yona so there's that.] How long do you think it'd take you to get used to it?
It'll get easier with practice! [Like. Just saying, Hiro!! ...but she's equally excited to be spending time with him, so she laces their fingers together as he swings their hands and pulls her along.] And, I'm not sure. I heard that kind of thing a lot from people back home, but they were just saying it to get in my father's good graces, so...
[It's fine. She's embarrassed which means he's also a little embarrassed and there's a nervous laugh.]
Well. Get used to it. I'm not looking to impress anybody so it's just how things are. [Real romantic, Hiro.] Besides, when have I ever said anything to you that I didn't mean?
No, I definitely meant it back then. [This is mumbled under his breath though and OFF THEY GO. They're both tugging each other along and he's leading her to the center.]
There's a lot of really cool stuff...where do you want to start? We can go down to the first floor and come back up here later if you want.
The house of the future. [He looks pleased.] It's a good place to start to get you up to speed on what kind of tech is available in our world. It might help explain things better to you, too.
Pick a room. [They're still going down the stairs when he asks. The stairs are big.] Kitchen, living room, I think they have a model bedroom...all kinds of stuff.
[Honestly, big stairs kind of remind her of Hiryuu palace, so ... it's fine. She's marginally more at ease among all this technology than she was two seconds ago.]
The kitchen! ...but I bet they don't make treats as delicious as the ones your Aunt Cass makes here.
You're not wrong. [He's taking the steps two at a time which is a stupid idea, but here we are.] They don't have actual food here, but they have all kinds of cool appliances and stuff. I want to see if I can get some ideas for helping Aunt Cass upgrade Lucky Cat.
Yup. [He sounds proud for the moment.] My aunt's really talented even if she doesn't know it. Having stuff like this would make her life a little easier.
Depends. If I can get a closer look...I might be able to make some of it. We'll see. [They reach the bottom of the stairs and he takes her hand to pull her along.] This way. It gets really crowded down here sometimes.
We don't have anything like it in Kouka, so I'm sure there's a lot I'll need to learn... but if you like it that much, I'm sure it's fascinating! And it would be a lot of fun to do things together, don't you think?
...yeah, it would. [He grins because that idea's actually pretty nice.] It's a lot to learn and a lot to explain, and you might not get all of it right away just because of how things are in Kouka...but you're a fast learner. It'd be cool to see what you can do.
Okay. So you know how a normal oven works, right? Heat traveling through coils that warm up and are trapped in an enclosed space so that the temperature circulates and cooks things. This one looks like it's bigger, so more energy should be needed. But the design means it's a shorter distance and the energy needed is less.

It's a little strange hearing it from someone who really means it.

[INTO INNOVATIONS THEY GO. Luckily for Hiro, Yona is instantly distracted by literally everything in here.]
Ooh! Hiro, Hiro, look at it all!

[time to head for downstairs ... she doesn't let go of Hiro's hand, though, so now she's tugging him along]

Ooh, if she upgrades it is she going to be able to make more pastries? Or different kinds of them that she couldn't do before?

[She beams at him, then tugs him over to point out a fancy-looking stove with a lot of bells and whistles.]
Let's start now. Tell me how that works!
